Advertising Sales Representative for Russian Voice Radio

Russian Voice Radio (“RVR”) is a weekly live broadcast reaching Russian community of the San Francisco and Bay Area.  RVR is the first and only commercial Russian radio in the history of San Francisco.  In the last four months on air, we have established ourselves as a very valuable source among Russian community.  We are looking for a professional representative that will help be the “face” of Russian Voice Radio to the local businesses in the San Francisco Bay Area communities.  This candidate will help promote local businesses through on-air advertising and sponsorship promotions through local events.  RVR is a small company and will require someone that is able to see a campaign all the way through, from the idea through its implementation.  

The candidate will also be responsible for:

• maintaining and building relationships with multiple ethnic and American companies.  This job will NOT be limited to the Russian community and will NOT be limited to a Russian person.
• seeking out and building relationships with owners of local businesses interested in marketing to the RVR demographic.
• articulating the value of the RVR audience to a variety of businesses.
• working with RVR management and producers to create new sponsorship opportunities.

Prerequisites for this candidate should include:

• a minimum of two years radio marketing/advertising experience (TV or PR experience a plus).
• superb written and verbal communication skills.
• the ability to develop strong and positive relationships.
• the ability to manage multiple on-going campaigns at once.
• experience in ad trafficking and sponsorship implementation.
• the ability to prioritize, organize & pay attention to detail.
• the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-sensitive environment.
